The White House has received nearly 500 reports alleging US-supplied arms used in IDF’s attacks on Gaza caused unnecessary harm to civilians. White House has also failed to comply with its own policies requiring swift probe of such claims, according to a report by The Washington Post. The reports have come from various US govt. agencies, aid organizations, nonprofits, media reports and other eyewitnesses, the Post said. Some of these reports include photo documentation of US-made bomb fragments at sites where scores of children were killed. Among the cases submitted to the State Department is the January killing of six-year-old Hind Rajab and her family in their car. Pieces of a US-made 120mm tank round purportedly were found at the scene, as per the reports.Shards of US-made small-diameter bombs were photographed at a family’s home and at a school sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza after attacks in May. The tail fin of a US-made Joint Direct Attack Munition was also reportedly found on the scene of a July attack that killed dozens of Palestinians. Some of the cases likely amount to violations of US and international law, sources familiar with the matter told The Post. Despite the State Department’s guidance on launching a probe into such allegations, no single case has reached the “action” stage.
