Amavasya is the day to worship and please the ancestors. This year, Ashadha Amavasya will be observed on Friday, July 5. On this day, the angry ancestors are appeased for their blessings over the family. It is believed that the displeasure of the ancestors often results in problems in family and financial growth.
Dr Mrityunjay Tiwari, Head of the Astrology Department of Vedic University, said that when ancestors are angry, they curse their descendants. During Amavasya or Pitru Paksha, ancestors become angry if the family doesn’t perform rituals like Tarpan, Pind Daan, Shradh Karma etc. They become unhappy and so the family suffers Pitra Dosh. Some signs related to the displeasure of ancestors have been mentioned in the scriptures. Let us take a look at some of them.
If your ancestors are angry, then the lineage of the family does not increase. The members of the family become childless. The next generation of the family gets destroyed as per the Hindu scriptures. Childlessness is considered to be one of the reasons for the displeasure of ancestors. Many times, due to Pitra Dosh, marriage also gets hindered or married life becomes painful.
If the ancestors are angry then you are likely to face constant obstacles in your work. The business goes in loss and if you have started new work then it often stocks in the middle. Lack of success at work is also considered to be the reason for the displeasure of ancestors.
If a Peepal tree grows in the courtyard of the house, it is considered inauspicious. According to religious beliefs, a Peepal tree inside the house is not like many times liked by the ancestors. It angers them.
There is always unrest in the house if the ancestors are angry. The disputes and fights happen on small matters in the family. If there is a situation of dispute or fight among the family members on small matters, then it is a sign of displeasure of the ancestors.
A sudden accident or disease to a family member is also considered to be the outcome of the wrath of ancestors.
With the help of these signs, the ancestors want to tell that the people of their successors should respect them and keep them happy. Perform tarpan, Pind Daan, Shraddha, Panchbali karma etc. for them, so that they are satisfied and can get salvation.
