Janhvi Kapoor’s hand-embroidered saree features intricate detailing with dori embroidery and antique dabka work, further embellished with moti and sequin work
Janhvi Kapoor once again impressed fashion enthusiasts with her recent appearance at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. Attending a musical show dedicated to Lord Krishna, Janhvi made a stunning entrance with her rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya. For the occasion, she chose a breathtaking sindoori red organza saree from the luxury label Torani’s Leela collection.
Janhvi’s choice of ensemble is nothing short of a sartorial masterpiece. The hand-embroidered saree features intricate detailing with dori embroidery and antique dabka work, further embellished with moti and sequin work. The balda lace border adds a regal touch, making it a perfect addition for any ethnic wear collection. Janhvi elegantly draped the nine yards in a traditional style, with the pleats neatly arranged in the front and the pallu cascading gracefully from her shoulder.
Janhvi paired her saree with a green blouse made from butterfly net fabric. The design of the blouse is inspired by the traditional Indian angia (a form of bodice dating from 19th century India). It features antique dabka work along with zari embroidery and hand-embroidered pearl embellishments. The blouse’s full-length sleeves, deep neckline, cropped hem, and daring backless design with dori ties added a touch of contemporary flair to the ensemble.
If you’re wondering about the price of her stunning attire, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. According to the brand’s website, Janhvi’s saree comes with a price tag of Rs 1,15,500, while the blouse costs Rs 46,500.
Speaking of her jewellery, Janhvi accessorized her look with a gold and polki jewelry set consisting of a choker necklace, statement drop earrings, rings, and a nath. Her subtle makeup perfectly matched her traditional attire. She chose shimmer eye shadow, winged eyeliner, mascara-coated lashes, a dainty bindi, pink lips, and rouge-tinted cheeks to complete her look.
Lastly, Janhvi rounded off her look by keep her long hair open in a half-tied look with a middle parting. For a classic touch, she tucked the chain of her earrings into her hair.
