WWE Legend Hulk Hogan (X)
Speaking to Logan Paul’s YouTube podcast Impaulsive, the 71-year-old revealed that he recently agreed on a new deal with the wrestling promotion
One of the greatest wrestling stars of all time, Hulk Hogan has signed a new contract with WWE. The legendary wrestler was one of the prominent figures in WWE, especially in the 1980s and the 1990s. Hogan played a major role in making entertainment wrestling popular and it looks like his job still is not done yet.
Speaking to Logan Paul’s YouTube podcast Impaulsive, the 71-year-old revealed that he recently agreed on a new deal with the wrestling promotion. “I signed a five-year deal. I’ll be nearly 71 years old in a few weeks,” Hogan told Paul.
Hulk Hogan then explained the deal and discussed how he was looking to stay tied to the company so that he could continue doing what he always loved. “I signed a five-year deal for you know the licensing and merchandising stuff and you know like the ambassador stuff they need me to do some for WrestleMania. I just love doing it you know. It’s definitely different,” Hogan told.
After revealing his new contract, Hulk Hogan also talked about how he was impressed with how Logan Paul pursued his career in the WWE. “I’ve never seen anybody since I am at wrestling events that I was in the business for years, I have never seen anybody pick up on it as quick as you have and you’re stuff looks f***ing believable. There’s no holes in your work so just don’t get hurt,” Hogan said. The warm tribute led to Paul revealing how he believed in himself and had a discussion with the company’s Chief Content Officer Triple H for an opportunity to be ‘The Guy’.
Hulk Hogan even went on to claim that Logan Paul should not be involved in a storyline for any other championship other than the World Heavyweight title. He expressed his support for the newcomer on the podcast and said, “You should not be any type of champion except the World Champion at this point. You need to make that quick transition and if they’re smart, Triple H is smart, that transition needs to be made this year.”
Logan Paul made his debut at WrestleMania 38 and soon carved his way to the United States Championship. Over the last year, Paul established himself as one of the most impactful US champions in recent years. Having held the title for 279 days, the streamer-turned-wrestler lost the title to LA Knight.
