FIDE World Chess Championship 2024 Live Streaming Details: The 2024 FIDE World Chess Championship will commence on Monday, November 25. Fans are excited to see two of the sport’s greatest masterminds face off in 14 rounds of chess. China’s Ding Liren will head into the event as the reigning champion. India’s Gukesh Dommaraju will challenge for Liren’s crown after emerging triumphant at the Candidates Tournament in Toronto earlier this year. This match marks the first time in 138 years that two Asian grandmasters will face off in the marquee clash.
D Gukesh is on the brink of making history as he looks to become the youngest chess World Champion of all time. Vishwanathan Anand is the only Indian who has held the world championship crown five times. It will not be easy for the 18-year-old to take down China’s first-ever World Champion Ding Liren. He won the title by beating Russia’s Ian Nepomniachtchi in a marathon match last year.
A total cash prize of $2.5 million (roughly Rs 20 crore) will be on the line. Every win will earn the player Rs 1.67 crore. The remaining prize money will be split equally between both grandmasters. A tiebreak will see the winner take home Rs 10.97 crores whereas the runner-up will receive 10.13 crores.
