Actor Dipika Kakar recently thrilled her fans by hinting at her much-anticipated return to television, marking the end of her years-long break from TV shows. Dipika, who has been married to actor Shoaib Ibrahim, her co-star from Sasural Simar Ka, has been on a break from TV shows for nearly four years now. She was last seen in the show, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum.
During this time, she has been quite active on YouTube and often shares vlogs, talking about her daily life. Her channel, Dipika Ki Duniya, has more than 3.93 million followers.
In her recent vlog, the actor hinted at making a comeback to TV shows after her long hiatus.
The video shows Dipika sharing details about Shoaib’s road trip to Bhopal, noting how he even plans to go ahead till Maudaha. She said that she was unable to join her husband on the trip as she was planning a surprise for her fans. Thereafter, she shared a few glimpses of her child, Ruhaan, searching for his father in the house.
“I am vlogging from the makeup room, and I have started shooting for something,” she said while adding that she won’t be able to share many details about what’s in the pipeline.
“I cannot give all the details, but I shall soon be back on screens with something new and I can’t wait to share it with you all,” she added.
Meanwhile, fans of the actor have started speculating that she might be returning to the small screen with MasterChef India, Bollywood Life reported.
Earlier, reports suggested the makers of the show have planned to introduce celebrity contestants and Dipika has reportedly been approached for the same along with other names in the TV industry like Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, Chandan Prabhakar, Usha Nadkarni and Rajiv Adatia.
On multiple occasions, Dipika has denied rumours of her quitting the industry, stating she just wanted to experience motherhood for some time.
“…I would just like to clarify there is nothing like that. I have always craved to live the life of a housewife… Shoaib would go to the office and I would make breakfast for him and take care of the house. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to work ever again,” she earlier said.
Dipika has previously appeared in shows like Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Sasural Simar Ka, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, Nach Baliye 8, Entertainment Ki Raat and Bigg Boss 12.
