WhatsApp is bringing the new year celebrations a little earlier with a new pack of stickers and reactions that you can use to wish your loved ones over the next few weeks. The limited-edition features will be available from December 20 up to January 3 and these options are coming to all users with a new update this week.
WhatsApp knows that people want a special set of options to message people, wishing them for the new year and this update seems to take care of that.

Festive calling filters: You can add special filters and effects for WhatsApp video calls over the next week. These calling effects include background filters, effects that celebrate the new year, says WhatsApp.
More New Year stickers: WhatsApp has added a new NYE sticker pack and avatar stickers that make it easy to wish your friends and family.
Animation reactions for NYE: WhatsApp users reacting to messages with the celebration emojis, will allow the other person to see it in an animated form which makes it interactive.
You can get all these features on WhatsApp for the next two weeks by updating to the latest version from Play Store for Android users and the App Store for iOS devices.
WhatsApp is also working on new features for 2025, one of them being an in-app dialer for iPhone users. Having a dialer means you can rely on the messaging app itself to call someone, who is most likely going to have a WhatsApp account as well.
Some might question the need for such a feature but it is obvious that the Meta-owned platform wants to become a one-stop hub for all your needs, including calls. The only big caveat of using the WhatsApp dialer will be that you are completely locked into the messaging app’s ecosystem, which means any call that you make will be a WhatsApp call.
