PV Sindhu tied the knot with Venkata Datta Sai at Raffles Hotel in Uday Sagar Lake.

The first photos of Indian badminton player PV Sindhu and Posidex Technologies Executive Director Venkata Dutta Sai’s marriage ceremony are out. The pair tied the knot at Raffles Hotel in Uday Sagar Lake, Rajasthan, according to reports on Sunday, December 22nd, at 11:20 pm.
Local newspapers report that the wedding was held in a grand Telugu ceremony on an island in Uday Sagar Lake and attended by Sindhu and Sai’s family members and close friends. As per reports, around 140 guests attended the wedding ceremony.
Reports also add that PV Sindhu and Venkat Datta booked about 100 rooms at the luxurious resort Raffles for the guests who came for the wedding, with each renting for around one lakh. It is also reported that special flight tickets were also provided to the guests who attended the wedding.

Culture and Tourism Minister of Jodhpur, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took to social media to share a picture from the wedding.
Taking to X, Shekhawat wrote, “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”

Sindhu had earlier dropped the first photo of her engagement with Venkata as she shared a photo of the couple, using a quote by Kahlil Gibran as the caption. “When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives naught but itself,” it read. Sindhu also posted 2024 to infinity, using the emoji.

Reports also say that a reception will be held in Hyderabad on Tuesday (December 24), which will be attended by political, film and sports personalities, with Sindhu inviting celebrities and handing over the wedding papers herself.
