Alisha Parveen, the Anupamaa fame actress, recently made headlines after she was dropped from the show without any proper explanation. The actress played the role of Raahi, Rupali Ganguly’s daughter in the show. Now, during an interview, the actress talked about her sudden exit from Anupamaa stating that the makers breached her three-year contract and removed her before any prior notice.
During a conversation with Telly Talk/Times Now, Alisha stated that she was compelled to sign a contract that restricted her from leaving the show for three years. However, she expressed her dissatisfaction, saying that if the producers took her commitment, they should have also promised not to remove her from the show.
The actress said, “Raaton raat kisiko, show se nikal dena bahut galat baat hai. Aap mentally uske sapno ke saath khel rahe hain (it is extremely inappropriate to remove somebody from the show overnight. You’re mentally playing with his dreams).”
TV actress Adrija Roy has reportedly replaced Alisha to play Raahi in the popular show.
Recently, Alisha, on Instagram, wrote a long emotional note that read, “Hello, everyone. I did not leave the show #Anupama, but I am not sure why this happened. Everything was fine, but I don’t know why this happened so abruptly. It was also shocking to me. But thank you so much for liking Raahi/Aadhya. I am so pleased to be a part of this show. I worked so hard for the character, but I have no idea what happened. All I can say is thank you to everyone who supported me! I will miss this show from the depths of my heart.”

Reacting to these rumours, Alisha told India Forums, “I have also heard these rumours and am aware that they have links to her. I’ve also read about this in fan messages. People stated, “Ke unhone hi karwaya hai, it’s DKP (Director’s Kut Production) and Rupali mam behind it. Exactly Kya hai ye main kaise batau ab (People said they did it, DKP is behind it, and Rupali mam is behind it). How can I say what the situation is? Maybe yes, maybe not; I’m not sure. Maybe nothing.”
Apart from Anupamaa, Alisha has also appeared in shows like Udaariyaan and School Friends.
