Aditi Rao Hydari began her career as a Bharatanatyam dancer then set to act in Malayalam and Tamil films, before stepping into Bollywood and solidifying her status as a natural actor.
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari, known for her performances in Heeramandi, Padmaavat, Delhi 6 and Rockstar, turned a year older today, on October 25. Aditi kicked off her acting journey in Malayalam and Tamil cinema before making her mark in Bollywood. She made her debut in the 2006 Malayalam film Prajapathi. Most recently, she was seen essaying the role of Bibbojaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi.

Hey! Sinamika (2022)
Starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Dulquer Salmaan, the film tells the story of Mouna and Yaazhan, who fall in love and marry. After a few years, Mouna feels overwhelmed by the relationship and wants to end the marriage. Directed by Brinda Master, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal.
Ajeeb Daastaans (2021)
This is a collection of four short stories, in which Aditi Rao Hydari appears in ‘Geeli Pucchi’ alongside Konkona Sen Sharma. It narrates the queer love story of two women, who find solace in one another in a male-dominated work environment.

Wazir (2016)
In this film directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Aditi Rao Hydari co-stars with Farhan Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Manav Kaul. The plot centres around Daanish, a cop on a mission to exact revenge on the terrorist who killed his daughter. In the process, he meets and confides in another person, who is also mourning his daughter.
The Girl on the Train (2021)
Aditi Rao Hydari plays Nusrat John, a missing victim, in this film based on British novelist Paula Hawkins’ 2015 novel of the same name. The mystery thriller film follows Mira Kapoor (Parineeti Chopra), an alcoholic and unstable divorcee who becomes embroiled in a large-scale murder investigation.

Lioness
Lioness is currently in production and marks a significant milestone in Aditi Rao Hydari’s career. Written and directed by Kajri Babbar, the film tells the story of Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, the granddaughter of the renowned Ranjit Singh and Queen Victoria’s goddaughter. Aditi plays the role of Mehak Kaur, an educated immigrant woman living in Southall in this movie.
ADITI RAO HYDARI’S LOVE STORY WITH SIDDHARTH
Aditi Rao Hydari and actor Siddharth first met on the sets of Maha Samudram, a 2021 Telugu film directed by Ajay Bhupathi. Although the movie did not perform well at the box office, it proved fortuitous for Aditi and Siddharth, as they reportedly fell in love during the filming.
The duo was first spotted together at Rajkummar Rao’s wedding to Patralekhaa in 2021. Following that, they were frequently spotted in public together, although they did not officially announce their relationship. Earlier this year, the couple got engaged and eventually tied the knot on September 16, 2024.
