Apple is going to start 2025 with a bang and products like these will surely appeal to the consumers.
Apple will have an exciting lineup of products ready to be unleashed in 2025 and one of them will be part of the new M4 chipset family with the MacBooks. Yes, the MacBook Air will finally get its M4 upgrade early next year. The report from Bloomberg mentions the launch could happen between January and March 2025 which is just a few months away.
The company unveiled its first M4-powered product in June this year which was the iPad Pro 2024 model. The bigger Mac focus was announced in October where we saw not one but three new M4 Mac products, which includes the M4 MacBook Pro, M4 Mac Mini and the M4 iMac.
The biggest upgrade with the M4 chipset is that Apple is now offering 16GB RAM as the base model, which will aid in running the Apple Intelligence (AI) features on the Macs.
But coming back to the MacBook Air, the M4 upgrade is unlikely to give us any big surprises. The design of the MacBook Air M4 should be the same as the M3 variant with its notched display. Bringing the M4 chipset to the MacBook Air series might result in a bump in the price tag but Apple has shown a refreshing tendency to keep things unchanged, which we hope continues.
The M4 Mac Mini is a sign that Apple wants to be competitive in the PC segment and we also got the M2 and M3 MacBook Air upgraded to 16GB RAM as the base model without any price hike.
Talking about the M4 MacBook Air, we expect the model to come with a notch display and MagSafe charging port while the design is identical to the Pro version. MacBook Air should be available in the 13 and 14-inch variants. It deserves the new 12MP camera, along with the reliable four-speaker sound system, up to 23 hours of battery life with the M4 silicone, and MagSafe charging.
The start of 2025 will also get the countdown running for the launch of the anticipated iPhone SE 4 model that could become Apple’s most affordable path to using its AI features.
