Netizens claimed that the YouTube channel of Apple was hacked during its ‘Glowtime’ event and shared fake AI-generated video of CEO Tim Cook asking viewers for Bitcoin.
“Apple’s official US YouTube channel has been hacked! A fake AI-generated video of Tim Cook is currently streaming, asking viewers for Bitcoin,” a X user with username MysteryDealz wrote.

Another user shared the fake video which was being livestreamed from YouTube.
A user took a dig at Apple CEO Tim Cook and wrote, “Tim Cooked Us!”.

The tech giant has a lot riding on what would be the iPhone 16 and will hope that customers are enticed to buy the latest models, attracted by new AI powers.
“We are thrilled to introduce the first iPhones designed from the ground up for Apple Intelligence and its breakthrough capabilities,” Apple chief executive Tim Cook said at an event at the iPhone-maker’s Silicon Valley headquarters.
