The teenager, who has recorded six goals and twice as many assists in his twenty appearances for the Blaugrana this season, eyes a quick road to recovery to join his unit on the quest for the La Liga title.
Barcelona wunderkind Lamine Yamal promised to come back stronger from the bout on the sidelines he currently experiences following an injury he sustained during the Catalan side’s La Liga encounter against Leganes.
Yamal, who thrilled the world with his blockbuster performances at the Euro 2024 for Spain as La Furia Roja clinched their fourth continental crown, has been a crucial cog in the Barcelona side under Hansi Flick.
The teenager has recorded six goals and twice as many assists in his twenty appearances for the Blaugrana this season and seeks a quick road to recovery to join his unit on the quest for the La Liga title.
“I am in a recovery process which I am very sure I will come back better from and with more determination,” Yamal said.
“When you stop playing for a while, that’s when you realise your work, what you are doing, and I will come back better than ever,” the 17-year-old said.
“I think it was just bad luck. In the end, it was from a hit I took on the ankle, but these things happen, it can happen to anyone,” he added.
Barcelona stand third in the La Liga rankings with 38 points to their name from 19 outings, behind table-toppers Atletico Madrid and chasing rivals Real Madrid.
Yamal’s injury kept him out of his side’s defeat to Atletico as the Madrid side went to 41 points in the campaign in 18 games, one ahead of Los Blancos who have also completed as many assignments this season.
