She said, “I’ve always believed in nature and simplicity. My mother and grandmother were my first teachers, making remedies with what they had in the kitchen. Over time, I got curious and started adapting these remedies to fit my lifestyle,” adding about the delightful recipes she embraces in her “fabulous life.” She continued, “If something’s new or feels intense, I check with my family doctor. Home remedies are usually gentle, but it’s important to stay cautious and listen to your body.”

Shalini Passi, then, unveiled one of her daily morning rituals, filled with all sorts of health benefits. She begins her day by drinking a beetroot smoothie, a glass of warm water with lemon, which contains an ample amount of vitamin C in it. “It naturally helps my skin glow. These are simple practices anyone can adopt,” she expressed. For those unaware, both beetroot and lemon are rich in antioxidants. While beetroot can help with digestion and regulate blood sugar, as per a report in Medical News Today, lemon juice boosts immunity and aids detoxification.

Shalini explained that her morning rituals are followed by meditation, an hour of dance, and Pilates. She stated, “In the afternoon, I do one hour of dance, which serves as my cardio. After that, I focus on weights and Pilates for an hour,” all of which have multiple benefits to the body. Meditation regulates blood pressure and any other disorder in the body and also looks after good sleeping patterns, according to a report in Healthline. On the other hand, dance and Pilates improve core strength, posture, flexibility, and stability of the body.

Shalini also shared that she values a good night’s sleep and makes sure to enjoy organic food. She adds, “I don’t consume alcohol or smoke. I also avoid aerated drinks, sugar, and foods high in carbs.”

In the same conversation, Shalini shared, “Positivity is a choice I make every day, and it takes effort. ” She added, “Meditation and self-reflection also help me stay grounded.” When asked how she handles negativity on social media, she assured, “Social media has its ups and downs. Negative comments do come, but I don’t let them affect me. If it doesn’t add value to your life, let it go.”

However, it seems she is a true follower of what she preaches. Talking in the same line, Shalini explained, “The reason I don’t hold grudges is because it affects my skin. It was an offhand remark, but I think it resonated because it’s true. We often underestimate the impact our emotions have on our overall health.
