One Palestinian was killed and several injured by a group of Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank village of Jit on August 15. Residents said around 100 masked settlers entered the village, fired live ammunition and set fire to homes and cars. The attack on Jit, which was captured on camera unlike many other similar attacks, drew widespread condemnation not just from Palestinians but from international organisations and foreign leaders.
