Disha Parmar left her fans in awe by sharing an adorable boomerang video on her Instagram Stories featuring her daughter, Navya. In the clip, little Navya is seen flipping through a magazine with a picture of Lata Mangeshkar on the page. Disha captioned the video with “learning soon.” This sweet moment is just one of the many glimpses the couple has shared of their journey as parents to Navya, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
Disha Parmar and her husband, singer Rahul Vaidya, became parents to a baby girl, Navya on September 20, 2023. For the celebration of her birth anniversary, the couple decided to have a small gathering for a few friends and family in Mumbai.
Navy’s birth coincided with the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Sharing the news on social media, Disha and Rahul referred to their baby girl as “Laxmi Ji,” symbolizing her arrival as a blessing in their lives.
Disha Parmar and Rahul Vaidya’s love story is a modern fairytale. Their journey began in 2018 when a simple comment by Disha on one of Rahul’s Instagram posts about his rendition of Mere Rashke Qamar sparked their connection. The interaction paved the way for messages to be exchanged and later on it gradually grew into being meaningful.
Their first in-person meeting happened in Delhi, where Rahul was filming his single Yaad Teri. This was the start of a long-standing love that involved standing by each other during one’s successes and failures. To Disha, Rahul’s company became very important at that time after she lost her father in 2017.
In 2020, Rahul grabbed attention with a big romantic gesture. During his stint on Bigg Boss 14, he proposed to Disha on her birthday by wearing a t-shirt that read “HBD Disha, Marry me!” Disha reciprocated his love by surprising him in the Bigg Boss house on Valentine’s Day, holding a placard that said “Yes!!” The two love birds got married on July 16, 2021, in Mumbai.
Disha is a popular Hindi TV actress who is famous for playing a character named Pankhuri Gupta in the popular show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara (2012). She achieved immense fame through her performance.
Rahul Vaidya shot to fame as being second runner-up of Indian Idol Season 1 in the year 2004. His first album Tera Intezar was released in 2005 to much appreciation by critics and the public alike. Over the years, he has delivered memorable songs for Bollywood films, including Be Intehaan (unplugged) from Race 2, Qabool Kar Le from Jaan-e-Mann and tracks from movies like Krazzy 4 and Shaadi No. 1.
