Dua Lipa fans rejoice! The American Pop sensation has now become the face of the Chanel 25 handbag campaign. Yes! You read that right. The official announcement of the singer’s collaboration with the French luxury brand was made on Instagram. The company dropped a video featuring the singer dancing, running and singing through the streets of New York, USA. Interestingly, the campaign was attached to the Fine Young Cannibals’ 1988 hit track She Drives Me Crazy.
Sharing the video, the brand wrote, “In a film premiering today, singer-songwriter Dua Lipa becomes the face of the new CHANEL 25 handbag. A creative icon of her generation, the friend of the House epitomises the freedom of movement and self-expression so precious to CHANEL, in a video shot on the streets of New York.”
“The CHANEL 25 is a twist on the House’s distinctive codes, having two huge distinctive side pockets and offering a subtle, nonchalant elegance,” it added.
Furthermore, the luxury brand also informed that the full video of Dua Lipa as the face of Chanel 25 handbag campaign will be unveiled in March this year. It has been directed by Gordon von Steiner.
As per Vogue, the Chanel 25 is a direct descendant of the revolutionary 2.55, which at 70, is still one of the world’s most desirable handbags. The new bag is made of flexible, lightweight quilted leather and the medium and large sizes include a convenient clutch that may also be worn alone, depending on the occasion.
Recently, the Break My Heart singer marked her appearance in the front row at the Chanel Spring 2025 couture show in Paris. Lipa, look stood out amid the wave of fashionable personalities with her maximalist approach to the bow trend.
The singer wore a large black bow at the back of her half-up, half-down hairstyle, as well as another bow attached to the neckline of a floor-sweeping black cape wrapped around her upper body. Under the overcoat, she wore a silky black short dress with a sheer underlayer and a velvet-trimmed ruffled bodice.
To further elevate her look, the singer-songwriter accessorised her outfit with a multi-tiered pearl strand waist chain, a black leather handbag and peep-toe heels.
