Easy South Indian Drumstick Sambar Recipe

   3 tsp oil
   1 tsp mustard
   3 dried red chilli
   A pinch of asafoetida
   Few curry leaves
   7 shallots, halves
   1 tomato, finely chopped
   ½ tsp turmeric
   1 tsp salt
   20 pieces of drumstick
   2 cups of water
   2 cups of toor dal
   ½ cup tamarind extract
   2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
