Donald Trump and Elon Musk have become very close since the billionaire helped him win the presidential election on November 5.
The bonhomie between Elon Musk and Donald Trump was clearly visible during the latter’s presidential campaign. After Trump won the election, the tech billionaire’s near-constant presence at the President-elect’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida has made headlines.
The Tesla CEO joined a Thanksgiving party hosted by Trump for his inner circle at Mar-a-Lago, which also included Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone. The holidays are normally a private affair for the Trump family, but this time Musk and his mother also joined the festivities.
At the dinner party, Musk and Trump seemed to enjoy themselves as they grooved to the YMCA song. Musk started dancing to the tune after Trump tapped on his shoulder, while his son Barron and wife Melania. Reacting to the video, Musk said, “Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!”
In another video, Musk was seen interacting with Sylvester Stallone, who recently introduced Trump as a ‘Second George Washington”. “I was telling @TheSlyStallone that I just watched Demolition Man again and how well it predicted the crazy woke future 30 years ago!”
Musk, the world’s richest man, had aggressively campaigned for Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement in the run-up to the presidential elections and pumped millions of dollars into his campaign. After winning, Trump rewarded Musk by making him the co-head of the new Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk has been involved in sensitive conversations, even before his role in the administration was announced. He briefly joined a phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier this month. At one point, Trump joked, “Elon Musk won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him.”
