United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has urged Egypt to stop an arms ship from heading to Israel. “This is not just a moral duty, but a critical legal obligation to prevent further atrocities,” Albanese said, citing Israel’s “acts of genocide against the Palestinians.” The German ship MV Kathrin is reportedly carrying a 150-metric-ton shipment of military-grade explosives. London Stock Exchange data and the vessel-tracking website Marine Traffic showed the MV Kathrin docked at Alexandria on Oct. 28. Egyptian activists are demanding an investigation into the firm EMCO, which allegedly facilitated the ship’s entry to Alexandria port. Meanwhile, a group of young Turkish people staged a raid on the “Kathrın” at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Port as it was heading to Israel, as per reports. Watch the video to know more.
