On June 23, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr said his country is not in the business of “instigating wars.” However, Marcos Jr also emphasised that his country “will not be intimidated by anyone.” Marcos Jr made his remarks during a visit to the headquarters of the Philippine South China Sea forces on Palawan island. The Philippine leader’s came after a violent clash between the Philippine Navy and the China Coast Guard in the South China Sea.
