Hezbollah launched a rocket barrage on the Lower Galilee on July 7, claiming to have targeted an Israeli military base near Tiberias. According to the IDF, nearly 20 rockets were launched in the Hezbollah barrage at the Lower Galilee on July 7, many of which were intercepted. Hezbollah claimed it also launched a swarm of suicide drones to attack the artillery position of Israel’s 403rd Battalion of the 91st Brigade in Beit Hillel. The series of attacks came after the Israeli army said it killed a key operative in Hezbollah’s Aerial Defence Unit in eastern Lebanon on July 6. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) identified the Hezbollah fighter as Meitham Mustafa Altaar, saying that he had visited Iran several times and build and “arsenal of Iranian weapons.”
