The Lebanon-based Hezbollah completed the first phase of a ‘retaliatory attack’ on Israel on August 25 with “a large number of missiles”. The attack was ‘in response’ to the killing of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in July. “The number of Katyusha rockets launched until now is more than 320… towards enemy positions,” a Hezbollah statement said. The attack targeted 11 Israeli bases and barracks, including on the annexed Golan Heights, as per Hezbollah.
