Sony TV’s official Instagram handle recently shared a heartwarming video from the sets of India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer, featuring Hina Khan as a guest. In the clip, judge Geeta Kapur praised Hina’s battle with cancer, calling it “inspirational,” and asked her how she faced her illness so bravely. Hina then recounted the emotional moment she learned about her diagnosis. She said, “Jis raat mujhe pata chala (The night I learned about it), my partner Rocky came home, and my doctor didn’t call me. He (Rocky) said, ‘There’s malignancy, and the report is positive.’”
However, it was a sweet dessert that helped Hina believe that she needed to give a tough fight to the disease. She said, “And 10 minute ke baad (After 10 minutes) I looked up and remember unke ghar ke andar aane se pehele (Just before Rocky came to my house), I asked my brother, ‘I don’t know why I feel like having faluda today’,” adding, “Toh kahi nah kahi mujhe click huya ki ghar mein mitha aya hai, achcha hoga Hina, (Somewhere, it clicked to me that if there is a dessert that has arrived at home, then everything will be nice) take it possitively. And I told them, bring it on.”
Afterwards, the host of the show, Haarsh Limbachiyaa reminded everyone that Hina once sang the iconic song Lag Jaa Gale at an event and had mesmerised the audience. He then urged her to sing the song, and Hina once again won the hearts with her melodious singing. At the end of the video, the judges and the contestants were seen giving her a standing applause.
In another video shared by Sony TV, Hina can be heard praising the performers and mentioning that she is a fan of India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer. In the same segment of the show, she also revealed, “Before coming here today, I have taken my radiation session,” which made Haarsh and the contestants bow down to her spirit. To which, Hina got emotional and stated, “I don’t want to cry. Thank you.” Undoubtedly, it proves the actress’ strong personality despite the hurdles of life.
