Human Mobile Devices (HMD) Global has introduced the HMD Fusion phone in the Indian market. The handset was unveiled at the IFA 2024 in Berlin earlier this year. The HMD Fusion is powered by a Snapdragon chipset and comes with a dual rear camera setup.
The standout feature of the device is that it comes with interchangeable covers called Smart Outfits that work with specialised smart pins. These detachable accessories can be attached to the back of the phones to give you more features and ability.
HMD Fusion: Price in India
The HMD Fusion has launched in India for Rs 17,999, but there is an introductory offer that gets you the phone for Rs 15,999. HMD Fusion sale in India starts from November 29 at 12:00 PM.
The company is offering three Smart Outfits — casual outfits, flashy outfits, and gaming outfits worth Rs 5,999 for free with the new model. The fusion gaming outfit offers enhanced gameplay controls, and the flashy outfit sports a foldable RGB LED flash ring for selfies.
HMD Fusion Specifications
The new handset features a 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) display with 600 nits peak brightness and a 90 Hz refresh rate. HMD Fusion runs on the latest Android 14, and it is assured to get two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. The device also has a virtual memory extension that uses onboard storage.
The device gets a dual rear camera setup which consists of a 108MP main sensor with electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it boasts a 50MP selfie camera. Features such as Night Mode 3.0, gesture-based selfie controls, and Flash Shot 2.0 promise exceptional image quality even in challenging light.
The handset is said to have HMD’s second-generation repairability design that allows users to replace parts like the display, battery, or charging port using just a screwdriver. Moreover, the device also features exclusive partnerships with Digital Turbine and Aptoide to enhance its gaming capabilities.
The HMD Fusion smartphone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W charging. The company also claimed that the battery unit supports more than 800 charging cycles.
