Iran’s president has said that a truce in Gaza could affect the “intensity” of Tehran’s response to Israel’s recent strikes on the country’s military sites. The remarks by Masoud Pezeshkian come amid US-led efforts to broker ceasefire between Israel and Iran-backed groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas. However, Pezeshkian insisted that Iran will not leave “unanswered” any act of aggression against its sovereignty and security. He warned the Israeli authorities that they will receive a “tooth-breaking” response if they “commit a mistake” against Iran.
