Iran’s military said two soldiers were killed in Israeli strikes that targeted military bases in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran. The attacks are also reported to have damage a drone factory in Shamsabad, south of Tehran. Unverified reports on social media said three workers were killed at the factory. Meanwhile, Israel’s overnight retaliatory strikes on Iran were a larger scale of the response it carried out on Isfahan in April, according to The Washington Post. The Post cited an anonymous source who said the strikes were designed to minimise casualties and prevent an escalation.Israel launched its long-awaited retaliatory strike against Iran early on the morning of Oct. 26.
