Punjab FC has announced that the club has parted ways with striker Mushaga Bakenga by mutual consent. The Norwegian was signed by The Shers at the start of the season and made 14 appearances for the club across the Indian Super League and the Durand Cup. He scored three goals and provided one assist during his time with the club.
Speaking on the development, Technical Director of Punjab FC, Nikolaos Topoliatis said, “After mutual discussions, it was decided that Bakenga would part ways with us. I truly appreciate his contributions during his time here and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors.”
Bakenga’s last appearance for Punjab FC was as a substitute in the Indian Super League against East Bengal FC
