The Israeli army on Oct 9 said its forces killed a Hezbollah figure inside Syria. Israel’s air force “struck and eliminated Adham Jahout, a terrorist in Hezbollah’s ‘Golan Terrorist Network’, Hezbollah’s terror cell in Syria,” the IDF said. It described Jahout as an intermediary who “relayed information from Syrian regime sources to the Hezbollah.”The Israeli army said the air raid struck the area of Quneitra in southwestern Syria near the Israel-annexed Golan Heights. Syrian state media reported an Israeli attack early Oct 10 on the central provinces of Homs and Hama. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said an “Iranian car factory” in Hassia was targeted “directly.” The agency added that strikes in Hama province targeted an area home to air defences and government troops. The attack came a day after a strike blamed on Israel in the Damascus neighbourhood of Mazzeh killed seven civilians, authorities said.
