Jennifer Garner shared her heartbreaking experience of the Los Angeles wildfires and revealed that she lost a close friend who couldn’t escape in time.
Jennifer Garner, like many others in California, has been affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. In an emotional conversation, the actress shared her heartbreaking experience and revealed that she lost a close friend who couldn’t escape in time. Holding back tears while speaking, she explained how difficult it was for her and her community. The actress extended her sympathy for those impacted by the fires, especially her own friends, who lost homes. She also feels guilty for having a safe home while others are suffering and wondered how she could use her resources to help those in need.
Garner told MSNBC, “I did lose a friend and for our church, it’s really tender, so I don’t feel like I should talk about her yet. But yeah, I did lose a friend who did not get out in time. My heart just bleeds for my friends. I can think of 100 families and there are 5000 homes lost. I could just write out a list of 100 friends who lost their homes. I feel almost guilty walking through my house. What can I do? How can I help? What can I offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have? I’ve lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years, so I think we want to get our hands into working somehow to be helpful.”
Jennifer Garner claims that residents of Palisades share a strong bond and people care deeply for one another. She spoke about the importance of supporting these people, as many have lost their homes and workplaces due to the wildfires. The actress said that many families are unsure about what they will do next or how they will rebuild their lives.
Garner pointed out how tough it is for children who have lost not just their homes, but also their schools, churches and playgrounds. For her, it’s really heartbreaking to see young kids go through this, especially in a place where families used to come together to celebrate events like the 4th of July parade.
Not just common people, many Hollywood stars, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Milo Ventimiglia, Mel Gibson, Barbara Corcoran, John C Reilly, Cobie Smulders, Taran Killam, Eugene Levy, Miles Teller and Keleigh Teller, among others, have also lost their house.
