The inaugural Kho Kho World Cup will run for a week, starting on January 13 with the final on January 19.
India will host the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup, starting on Monday (January 13) and the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The tournament will run for the entire week with the final on Sunday (January 19).
39 men’s and women’s teams from six continents met each other at the venue for media interactions and dress rehearsals. Matches for both men’s and women’s divisions will run simultaneously at the venue, with 20 countries participating in the men’s division, while 19 teams will feature in the women’s division.
India’s men’s team will compete against heavyweights Nepal to start their campaign on Monday while the women’s team will kick off its season against South Korea on January 14. Below, we have collected all the information you need to know about the tournament in one place.

Group A: India, Nepal, Peru, Brazil, Bhutan
Group B: South Africa, Ghana, Argentina, Netherlands, Iran

Kho Kho World Cup 2025 Format
The Kho Kho World Cup 2025’s group stages will be played in a round-robin format. Every team in the groups will play each of the other teams once. In the end, the top two teams from each group will go ahead.
The playoffs will run in three stages: the quarter-finals between the top-eight teams, the semi-finals and the final. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be knockout matches. There won’t be a match to decide the third place.
