Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, said they are going through a professional separation.
Meghan Markle has issued a statement after attending a Thanksgiving event last week without her husband, Prince Harry.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be going through a professional separation, with reports claiming their work relationship is “not in a good place”, the New York Post said in a report.
In recent months, Meghan Markle, 43, and Prince Harry, 40, have been spotted at different events on their own.
Markle recently hosted a private dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project, organized through their Archewell Foundation.
Prince Harry, however, was not present at the event.
After the Thanksgiving event, Meghan Markle released a statement on the Archewell website, describing the “meaningful dinner” she hosted for Afghan women in collaboration with their partner organization, Mina’s List.
“This initiative has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the US from Afghanistan,” the statement read.
“The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience,” it further added.
The former actor “expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences” and said she plans to host future gatherings.
“The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where the participants were gifted with new cookware for the upcoming holiday season,” Markle’s statement shared.
The statement concludes by saying that the Duchess “remains committed to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support during challenging times”.
Prince Harry was spotted last week, attending a string of Invictus Games-related events in Vancouver, Canada, without Markle by his side. Markle on the other hand was seen with celebs at a beauty launch event.
Earlier this month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared together in a video for Veteran’s Day, where Harry acknowledged they had been “at a crossroads” with work recently.
In the video, which was their first joint appearance in months, they spoke about their efforts to promote children’s online safety through the Archewell Foundation.
The couple is expected to attend the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, scheduled from February 8 to February 16, following the 2023 event in Germany.
At the previous games, Markle hinted that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, might join them at the next event.
