Raj Kundra has called the allegations against him false.
Raj Kundra has denied any association with arrested Bangladeshi adult film actor. The actor was arrested in Mumbai for illegally staying in India.
Bangladeshi adult film star Riya Barde was recently arrested in Mumbai for allegedly staying in India using fake documents. Reports reveal that the actor claimed that she worked on several projects that were helmed by Raj Kundra’s production house. However, in a recent interview, the businessman denied any connection with the actor.
Speaking to HT City, Raj Kundra has called the allegation levelled against him as “false.” The businessman said that he has never met Barde and has denied being involved with any production house mentioned by the actor. He said, “I am deeply disturbed by recent news articles circulating false allegations about me. These reports claim that an individual, allegedly an illegal immigrant, worked for me or was associated with one of my supposed production companies. Let me be very clear – I have never met this person, nor have I ever owned or been involved with any production company that this individual has worked for.”
Kundra claimed that the allegations have been hurled against him to tarnish his reputation. He continued, “These baseless claims are not only damaging to my reputation but are also an attempt to exploit my name for sensationalism and media traction. I have always conducted my business with the utmost integrity, and I will not tolerate such false accusations.”
The businessman’s lawyer has mentioned that the team will be taking legal action and filing a complaint with the cyber crime cell. He also stated that a defamation suit of Rs 100 crore would also be issued against the media houses for spreading “fake news” about his client.
Earlier this year, the Enforcement Directorate had attached his properties worth Rs 97 crores in connection to a Bitcoin investment fraud case which was alleged to be a Ponzi scheme.
