Laughter Chefs is set to make a comeback with its second season. The makers dropped a promo video featuring Rubina Dilaik and Rahul Vaidya, triggering strong buzz online. The duo was previously seen together in Bigg Boss 14.
In a video posted on the official Instagram page of Colours TV, we can spot a fun banter between Rubina and Rahul that is simply a must-watch. At the beginning of the clip, the actress asks for some dates as she prepares to show off her culinary skills.
Rubina says, “Mujhe khajur do kyunki usse glycemic index kam hota hai” (Please give me dates as they are low on the glycemic index), leaving Bharti Singh, who was also present, puzzled. “Kaunsa index?” Bharti asked. As Rubina repeated, “It’s the Glycemic Index,” Bharti seemed stunned for a brief moment.
Following this, as the ex-BB contestants began preparing a dish, Rahul was seen stumped by Rubina’s terminologies. As the Chotti Bahu fame requested for a spatula the singer-turned-actor says, “Yeh tum kaha kaha se word laa rhi ho yaar (Where are you getting these words from)?” Soon, Rubina can be heard screaming that spatula is “kadhchi” in Hindi.
In another segment of the video, Rahul asks Rubina, “Thore easy shabd use karo nah yaar (Please use a bit easy words).”
But without paying any heed to him, the actress once again was heard instructing him by saying, “Isko dardara kuto (cut it in small pieces).” Soon, Rahul playfully asks her, “Dardara matlb? Tum ye words kaha se laati ho dardare wardare (What does daardara mean? Where do you get these words from, daardare vardare).” And as Rubina replied, “Hindi sahityakar ki putri hu (I’m the daughter of a Hindi litterateur),” he was seen making goofy faces to mock her.
The banter between Rubina and Rahul triggered curiosity among the fans who flooded the comments.
“Rubina’s kitchen skills rocked but Rahul was left shocked,” read the caption.
Laughter Chefs is set to premiere on Colors TV and stream on JioCinema every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM, starting January 25.
Apart from Rahul and Rubina, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Kundera, Aly Goni, Reem Sameer, Sudesh Lehri, Jannat Zubair, Nia Sharma, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain will also be present in the show.
