A Ukrainian drone attack on the city of Azov in Russia caused a major fire at an oil storage facility on June 18, as per Russian authorities. The drone attack successfully targeted the oil depots Azovska and Azovnaftoprodukt, where 22 oil storage tanks were located. Massive blaze broke out at the oil depot with thick black smoke engulfing the surroundings. The incident was first reported by Governor Vasily Golibev who said nobody had been injured. The Emergencies Ministry deployed 200 firefighters to tackle the 3,200-square-meter blaze. Reports said that residents in Azov had heard four or five explosions early in the morning.
