Sachin Tendulkar gets on the streets of Kochi to motivate the marathon runners on the last leg of the Ageas Federal Kochi Spice Coast Marathon.
Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who holds the record of playing most Tests and ODIs and scoring most runs in international cricket, took to X on Sunday (October 27) to share a video in which he can be seen chatting and motivating marathon runners who were participating on the last leg of the Ageas Federal Kochi Spice Coast Marathon.
In the viral clip, the 51-year-old former batter can also be seen posing for photos with various marathon runners.
“While on my way back from Kochi, I stopped by to say Hi and cheer on some athletes, who were on the last leg of their @AgeasFederal Kochi marathon. In their own way, they are championing the cause of a fit and healthy India,” Sachin tweeted.

“Participation is the first step towards preparation, and many people like them started their fitness journeys today. They’ve pushed themselves to complete the marathon, and this persistence itself makes them winners. Great to see increasing awareness towards health. India is surely transforming towards a sport-playing nation,” he added.
Sachin, who retired from international cricket on November 16, 2013, is one of the greatest sportspersons of all time. During his 24-year-long international career, Sachin played over 650 matches for the Indian team across formats and scored more than 34,000 runs. He is the first and only cricketer in the world to score 100 international centuries.
Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar is also a cricketer, but unlike his father, he is a fast bowling all-rounder who bats in lower middle order. The 25-year-old Arjun made his IPL debut on April 16, 2023, for the Mumbai Indians. He is set to be released by the five-time champions ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions.
Like his father, Arjun also scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut but is still far away from securing a place in the Indian team. Sachin is also part of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL as a mentor and is seen regularly at the stadiums during MI’s matches in the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
