Samsung is expected to announce its latest flagship phones in January and the feature set of the devices are becoming clear.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to make its debut soon, featuring three variants: the base model, Plus, and Ultra. Design renders, colour options, RAM, storage configurations, and pricing details of the upcoming smartphones have already surfaced online. Numerous reports and leaks have also hinted at key features of the next-gen devices. While the launch date has been speculated earlier, a tipster has now provided a fresh update on the anticipated unveiling.
In the meantime, it has been predicted that the Galaxy S25 series will offer the latest wireless charging technology. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will enable Qi2 wireless charging, according to a tip from Ice Universe. The user Jukanlosreve posted the claim on X this week. The phones will be able to handle faster wireless charging if this is accurate. As you might know, Google’s latest Pixel 9 series supports Qi charging which is now the older standard.
The latest Galaxy flagship phones will use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets. It is rumoured that the base model would have a battery with a rated capacity of 3,881mAh and a usual capacity of 4,000mAh. The current Samsung Galaxy S24 has a battery that is the same size as this.
The current models of the Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra have 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh battery capacities, respectively. Batteries of a similar size may be found in the upcoming Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones. It has previously been claimed that the future phones will feature 45W wired fast charging.
According to previous leaks, the standard Samsung Galaxy S25 with 12GB + 128GB would start at $799 (Rs 67,400 approx), while the Galaxy S25+ with 12GB + 26GB might start at $999 (Rs 84,300 approx). The top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the other hand, is anticipated to launch for $1,299 (Rs 1,09,600 approx) for the 12GB + 256GB model.
