Shalini Passi revealed that she has shaved her head four times at Tirupati as a heartfelt spiritual offering, donating her hair each time.
Shalini Passi is captivating audiences across the internet, carving out a unique space for herself with her intriguing persona on Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Recently, in an interview with NDTV, the Delhi-based art collector and philanthropist shared her bold approach to personal style and her cultural roots. Known for her elegance and flair, Shalini made a memorable impression on the show, hosting an extravagant gala dressed as Cleopatra. When asked about her fashion choices and whether women from Delhi tend to dress in a more opulent manner on the show, she explained that her style is deeply rooted in cultural tradition. “For us in North India, especially as Sikhs, cutting hair is uncommon. So we get creative—adding hairbands, clips, flowers, and other adornments to keep it interesting,” she said.
In an intimate revelation, Shalini shared that she has shaved her head four times as a spiritual offering at Tirupati, a practice she holds dear. “For me, the process is significant, and I donate my hair each time. It’s not about styling so much as it is about purpose,” she added, mentioning that her most recent head-shave was in 2018. Notably, Shalini and her husband, Sanjay Passi, also made a significant financial contribution to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, donating Rs 10 crore in 2021.
Shalini, married to businessman Sanjay Passi since 2000, has joined Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives in its third season, adding her own flavor to the mix. The Netflix series, which primarily follows the glamorous lives of four Bollywood insiders—Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, and Neelam Kothari—offers viewers a glimpse into the close-knit bond shared by these long-time friends. This season introduces new personalities, including Shalini, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, and Kalyani Saha Chawla, blending fact with fiction and heightening the entertainment factor. The addition of these Delhi-based figures has sparked a lively “Delhi vs. Mumbai” dynamic, bringing an exciting new layer to the show’s narrative.
