The legendary star, Rekha looked like royalty at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding reception.
Legendary actor and style icon, Rekha made a royal style statement at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding reception. Regal and opulent, just like her personality, Rekha honoured the age-old traditional khada dupatta in her look.
The white silk ensemble featured an embroidered kurta and churidar styled with a long dupatta with a gold border. Known for her love for Indian artistry, Rekha on various occasions has adorned traditional kanjeevaram sarees in a myriad shades. This isn’t the first time Rekha has explored the beauty of the khada dupatta which originates from Hyderabad. The evergreen star has experimented with the age-old technique numerous times. We love how each time she styles the khada dupatta she adds her own touch to the drape.
The dupatta is draped in such a way to give an illusion of a sari. Contemporary yet timeless, this style is perfect for the wedding season. Rekha carried off this celebratory look with elan. She completed her stylish look with jewellery including a necklace, maang tika and jhumkas in a contrasting and enchanting shade of green. She paired the accessories with an embroidered potli bag and footwear with high heels. She completed her iconic look with her signature gajra and bold red lip.
Rekha’s fashion quotient is a masterclass in Indian wedding styles. She is an epitome of grace and glamour and each time she adorns a traditional style it becomes iconic. As timeless as the star herself, Rekha before leaving the party, was seen posing with Aditi Rao Hydari and Sidharth. Rekha complimented the couple at the event with a sweet gesture and blessed Sidharth after he touched her feet.
