Nidhi Bhanushali will play the role of Gargee in the upcoming series.
Actress Nidhi Bhanushali, who earlier played the role of Sonu aka Sonalika Bhide in the popular comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) is all set to make her acting comeback soon. Nidhi replaced Jheel Mehta as Sonu and was a part of the show from 2012 to 2017. After leaving TMKOC, she took a significant break from acting. However, she remained active on her social media handles and often shared glimpses of her personal life with her fans.
Now, after a long hiatus, Nidhi has bagged a new show that marks her return to the screen. She will be seen in the upcoming TVF series titled Sisterhood. Taking to Instagram, Nidhi shared the poster of the forthcoming series along with the caption, “Iss school gang ki dosti sirf friendship nahi…SISTERHOOD ha.”
Soon after she shared the poster, her friends and admirers flooded the comment section and expressed their excitement. An Instagram user wrote, “Soo good to see you on screen after so long. I’m all up for it.”
Another Insta user commented, “Woahh back on screen with more.” One of the users wrote, “OMG Nidhi is back on screen!! It’s been so so long! Looking forward to this x All the best.”
Helmed by Nayana Shyam, the show also stars Bhagyashree Madhav Limaye, Anvesha Vij and Nitya Mathur in the lead roles. The show’s description reads, “Four radically different 9th-grade girls forge a bond within the walls of an all-girls convent school, embarking on a journey of friendship, self-discovery, and shared adventures that define their transformative school years.”
Nidhi will play the role of Gargee in the upcoming series. In a statement, she said, “Bringing Gargee to life in Sisterhood has been a fulfilling experience. Her journey is one of self-discovery and resilience as she grapples with the complexities of a new environment and carving out her identity. Coming from a different background than her peers, she brings a unique perspective to S.I.S.T.R.S., challenging traditional norms. Portraying Gargee has been both challenging and rewarding, and I can’t wait for audiences across India to join her on this emotional rollercoaster only on Amazon miniTV,” as quoted by Filmibeat.
