The twist came when The Rock congratulated Rhodes for dominating the WWE world for over a year. “Say hello to Mama Rhodes for me,” the Great One said while addressing the crowd at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. With fans hyped to see The Rock vs Cody Rhodes in the next WrestleMania event in Las Vegas, Dave Meltzer of ‘Wrestling Observer Radio’ has claimed that the plans “are not clear” yet. “The impression is Rock is gonna wrestle. It’s not etched in stone that he’s gonna wrestle. Whatever he wants to do is what they’re doing,” he said.
As shared by Meltzer, Rhodes might face John Cena at WrestleMania 41. He further revealed that The Rock was slated to face Rhodes in the last edition as “WWE was not committed to a year-long reign” for the Undisputed champion.

After his appearance in the opening segment, The Rock congratulated Reigns for defeating Solo Sikoa in the Tribal Combat match. Though the duo had an intense stare-off, the Corporate Champion later embraced Reigns by putting the ula fala around his neck.
