Marcus Rashford remains interested in a loan move to Barcelona. If the deal isn’t materialised before the transfer deadline, the Manchester United forward may shift his focus to Aston Villa. The Premier League club is also keen to sign Rashford on loan, having sold Jhon Duran to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, as reported by the Guardian. The England international has been pursued by several European outfits including Tottenham Hotspur.
Rashford has already rejected all those offers as his eyes are set on Barcelona. The Catalan giants must release at least two player before going forward with his potential loan deal. They are mandated to generate funds to match LaLiga’s squad cost limit.
Barcelona are reportedly ready to cover most or all of Rashford’s weekly wages which currently stand at £365,000. The required transfer fee, however, seems to have emerged as the stumbling block.
The loan offer from Aston Villa might convince Rashford, given the fact that he would be able to feature in the Champions League. Similar to Barcelona, the English club has earned direct qualification to the Round of 16.

Manchester United are desperate to part ways with Rashford before the winter transfer window closes on February 3. Coach Ruben Amorim looks to have already turned his back on Rashford. The club boss, however, hinted at taking him back into the first team ahead of their Europa League victory over FCSB in Bucharest on Friday.
“You can look at our team and imagine the profile of the players. Now imagine a talent like Rashford. Our team should be so much better with Rashford. But he has to change. If he changes, we are more than welcome to put in a talent like Rashford. And we need it,” Amorim said.
Since December last year, the Portuguese manager has included Rashford in just one matchday squad. Manchester United have kept their eyes on Mathys Tel who has also come under the radar of Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. If Rashford manages to secure a deal, the Old Trafford hierarchy is likely to make a move for the Bayern Munich forward.
