WhatsApp offers its beta version for select users who get to use the new unreleased features for its public roll out.
WhatsApp users are facing the dreaded green screen issue and nobody knows what is causing it. We have been seeing reports and complaints from people about their phone screen showing a green line, but in this case, the whole screen is turning green.
The issue is being faced by WhatsApp users who are on the beta version 2.24.24.5 so most likely a small group of users are affected by the problem. Having said that, it is vital that the messaging app gets to work and finds the reason for the issue which is causing the whole screen to go green.
WhatsApp Green Display Issue: What We Know
Reports this week suggest users on the beta version 2.24.24.5 are seeing their app screen go green when they click on a chat. The issue has been mentioned mostly by those running the beta version of WhatsApp, so if you are using the publicly available version, your messaging app should work just fine.
We have been using the 2.24.24.5 version for the past few days but did not face the green screen issue, and now have been updating to the version 2.24.24.7 which is likely to be the fixer for the affected users as well. These issues aren’t new for the beta versions, and the whole point of having these test versions is to make sure bugs like these don’t end up in the final public release.
WhatsApp will surely have gone through these complaints, so we just the beta users should look out for the new version that should clean up the green screen issue and give you the messaging app back in full form.
