Royal Family Christmas Celebrations: Kate Middleton announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer but the type of cancer and the details of her treatment were not shared.
The British royal family will join together for their tradition of Christmas at Sandringham. King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer in February this year, will lead the family’s celebrations but not everyone will join in. His wife Queen Camilla will celebrate Christmas with him and her son Tom Parker-Bowles who will join the royal family’s Christmas celebration this year for the first time. Camilla’s daughter Laura Lopes and her family will also join the royals at Sandringham.
Will Kate Middleton and Prince William join the royal family for Christmas?
Kate Middleton announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer but the type of cancer and the details of her treatment were not shared. She has stayed out of the public eye for most of the year but was seen hosting a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.
She said, “The Christmas story encourages us to consider the experiences and feelings of others. It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences.”
She is expected to join the royal family celebrations along with Prince William and their children George, Louis and Charlotte.
What about other royal family members?
King Charles’s brother Prince Andrew, his daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and their mother Sarah Ferguson, will not attend the Christmas celebrations with the royal family this year.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to celebrate Christmas with the royal family?
No, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet will not be attending the Christmas celebrations. The couple stepped down from their royal duties in 2020.
