WWE SmackDown: All-New Bloodline Triumphs in Six-Man Tag Team Match (WWE Media)
The latest instalment of WWE’s weekly episode of Friday Night SmackDown premiered live on December 20. The show was hosted at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The wrestling event was jampacked with action and featured four official fights on the match card.
The SmackDown episode kicked off with six-man Tag Team action where the All-New Bloodline faced Apollo Crews, Andrade El Idolo and LA Knight. Later, Carmelo Hayes got his rematch against Braun Strowman. Finally, in the main event, Naomi and Bianca Belair defended their women’s tag-team titles against the duo of Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.
Fans hear from The All-New Bloodline
The segment began with Solo Sikoa revealing how Roman Reigns wanted to face him in a Tribal Combat Match on January 6. Sikoa then claimed that he was willing to leave his team behind if Reigns would do the same during the upcoming fixture. Drew McIntyre’s music hit and he slowly came out at ringside. McIntyre then claimed Sikoa cost him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Next, the Scotsman was blindsided by Jimmy Uso. Moments later, LA Knight, Andrade and Apollo Crews sprinted down the ramp before engaging in a brawl with The Bloodline.
Braun Strowman appears on The Grayson Waller Effect
Grayson Waller introduced Brawn Strowman who came down the ring and handed out some merchandise to fans. Waller then proposed an alliance with the Monster Among Men before being interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. Carmelo demanded a rematch from Strowman as he wasn’t ready to fight him last week. Strowman accepted and, within moments, the match was underway. This time Hayes got the better of Strowman, beating him with a count-out victory.
Nia Jax and Candice LeRae ask Tiffany Stratton to stay away during the main event
Before the main event began, Nia Jax, Candice LeRae and Tiffany Stratton were spotted backstage. The trio were discussing the upcoming championship clash against Naomi and Bianca Belair. Stratton wished her other two partners all the best for the title bout. Stratton claimed she couldn’t wait to celebrate her team’s victory in the main event. Candice and Nia together asked their teammate to stay away from the action this time. Stratton was disappointed as she left the scene.

Carmelo Hayes vs Braun Strowman – Carmelo Hayes won the match by count-out after Braun Strowman failed to enter the ring in time.
Johnny Gargano vs Alex Shelley – Johny Gargano pinned Alex Shelly for a victory amid distraction from Tomasso Ciampa and Chris Sabin.
Bianca Belair and Naomi (c) vs Nia Jax and Candice LeRae for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Naomi delivered a split-legged moonsault on Candice LeRae to retain the women’s tag-team titles.
