Xiaomi brought the 14 Ultra model to the Indian market and the next premium version could also launch globally.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch in 2025 as the third model in the Xiaomi 15 series. While Xiaomi has not officially announced the phone, company president Lu Weibing has reportedly hinted at its release. Like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the 15 Ultra is anticipated to debut during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in March. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the device may feature an IP68/IP69 rating and a 200MP large-aperture periscope telephoto sensor.
Tech blogger Kartikey Singh shared that Lu Weibing mentioned in a live broadcast that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would be unveiled at MWC 2025, scheduled to take place in Barcelona from March 3–6. The launch timeline is hardly surprising as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was also introduced at the MWC 2024 in February last year. The tipster further asserted that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would debut on March 2.
The Xiaomi 15, which was introduced in China in October, will be released globally at about the same time, as per the new rumours. It is likely that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will continue to be available only in China, while the 15 Ultra model could once again be released in the Indian market like its predecessor.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Expected Features
Recently, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, model number 25019PNF3C, was listed on the MIIT website. It is anticipated to have support for 90W wired charging and satellite communication. Like the other Xiaomi 15 series models, the Ultra is probably going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chipset as well and have a 2K quad-curved display.
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to have a 1-inch main camera with an f/1.63 aperture and a 200MP large-aperture periscope telephoto sensor. IP68 and IP69 ratings might be available. Although it is rumoured to feature wireless charging, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra battery details are not likely to change much.
