Ananya Panday International Runway Debut at Paris Couture Week
2024 has been exceptional for Ananya Panday. The year began on a fashionable note for the ‘Call Me Bae’ star when she walked for fashion designer Rahul Mishra at Paris Haute Couture Week.
Ananya wore Moth Light, an embroidery installation illustrating a swarm of moths that encircled an illuminated bodice. The creative couture piece was part of Rahul’s Superheroes couture spring 2024 collection. Rahul also thanked Ananya for amplifying the voice of Superheroes with her support and presence at the show. This was indeed an extraordinary and unique presentation that Ananya slayed with her walk.
Alia Bhatt at L’Oréal Paris – Le Défilé
Alia Bhatt walked the Le Défilé with L’Oréal Paris at Paris Fashion Week 2024, representing India on a global map. Marking her debut as the newly appointed global brand ambassador, Alia Bhatt sashayed down the runway in a custom Gaurav Gupta ensemble.
Alia’s ensemble featured a metal cast silver breastplate adorned with detailing of a swan’s head interwoven with the body of a serpent. The bold, creative corset was styled with black sharara trousers.
Deepika Padukone at BAFTA 2024
At the 77th British Academy Film Awards, Deepika Padukone made her debut as a presenter at the awards ceremony. Gracing the occasion in a Sabyasachi couture saree and custom jewellery, Deepika looked ethereal in the six yards of shimmery elegance. At the BAFTA 2024 Deepika presented the award for Best Film Not In The English Language to director Jonathan Glazer for his film, The Zone of Interest.
Janhvi Kapoor International Runway Debut at Paris Haute Couture Week
A first for Janhvi Kapoor, Rahul Mishra celebrated the glamorous actress as his muse for the collection AURA for his Paris Haute Couture Week showcase in June 2024. Janhvi graced the runway in a hand-embroidered Noir Aura bustier top paired with a coordinating iridescent mermaid trail skirt.
Kim Kardashian And Khloe Kardashian In India
The Kardashian Sisters – Kim and Khloe made their first India visit a memorable one filled with desi glam. In Mumbai, Kim and Khloe attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding dressed in Manish Malhotra.
Kim looked radiant in the Maharani red saree lehenga, adorned with vibrant Swarovski crystals, sequins, and metallic zari work. She paired it with a Manish Malhotra signature structured with an adouble-layeredd blouse enhanced with signature crystal tassels.
Khloe Kardashian stepped out in a regal Indian ensemble on her first visit to India, wearing Manish Malhotra bespoke aureate lehenga. Seamlessly blending traditional culture with modern design, it was crafted from handloom brocade – a fabric esteemed by Indian royalty since the Silk Road era – and intricately adorned with zardozi work.
Showcasing a rich tapestry of silk interwoven with gold and silver threads, the lehenga features paisley motifs and Khole paired it with an elegant off-shoulder blouse. It is further enhanced by cascading strands of radiant pearls and gold beadwork at the back, adding a breathtaking dimension of glamour, complemented by a handwoven tissue drape. Khloe elevated the look with Manish Malhotra Jewellery featuring the Imperial Heirloom necklace adorned with 6,500 diamonds.
Kiara Advani at Cannes Film Festival 2024
Kiara Advani made her Cannes debut this year in style. From Prabal Gurung’s ivory-draped dress to the Nedo by Nedret Taciroglu corset gown, Kiara’s style quotient was impressively classic. We can’t get over the Nedo corset gown featuring a black velvet fish-cut silhouette and the pastel pink duchess satin bodice that exuded vintage charm. The highlight of this classic piece was the pink duchess satin bow that added drama to this Fall Winter 2024-25 stunning gown. Kiara adorned the gown at The Women in Cinema initiative which was held on the sidelines of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, for which Kiara Advani was invited and was also one of the prestigious honorees.
