In the video, Dr Nayak claims that a significant number of these harmful substances are utilised in the best-selling company’s vaporisers. Transfluthrin, butylated hydroxytoluene, citronellol, dimethyl octadiene, odourless paraffin (96 per cent w/v) and a blend of several fragrance compounds (benzyl acetal) are among the ingredients used to create these liquid solutions. One should be aware that transfluthrin may exacerbate symptoms such as tremors, anxiety, sneezing, respiratory failure, skin allergies, colds and coughs. In addition, these substances are listed as category-2 carcinogens, which contribute to the rise in cancer cases.
It can seriously harm a child’s immune system and the developing fetus’s brain. Hypothyroidism may also result from it. In addition to humans, dogs are also impacted. It contains aromatic compounds that can lead to skin sensitivities and respiratory issues. The CDC claims that it can also result in headaches, anorexia and difficulty focusing.
Furthermore, using these in a home with windows and doors closed may make the situation considerably riskier. Since there is now no known remedy for these substances, the doctor advises that pregnant women, newborns, young children, the elderly and pets should all be kept away from them. According to Dr Nayak, other studies have also discovered that these vaporisers draw mosquitoes even more.
