Transfluthrin, butylated hydroxytoluene, citronellol, dimethyl octadiene, odourless paraffin (96 per cent w/v) and a blend of several fragrance compounds (benzyl acetal) are among the ingredients used to create these liquid solutions. One should be aware that transfluthrin may exacerbate symptoms such as tremors, anxiety, sneezing, respiratory failure, skin allergies, colds and coughs. In addition, these substances are listed as category-2 carcinogens, which contribute to the rise in cancer cases.

According to Dr Nayak, other studies have also discovered that these vaporisers draw mosquitoes even more.
