Cristiano Ronaldo did get a couple of chances to score in the first half but he failed to convert any. Things got worse for him after the 39-year-old was shown a yellow card in the first half. The card was brandished after Ronaldo made a tackle on his compatriot Joao Cancelo.

Al-Hilal, eventually, came up with a much-needed equaliser in the second half. It was Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who scored the goal to salvage a point for Al-Hilal.
